AGARTALA, Sep 18 (TIWN): CPI-M candidate has conducted door to door campaigning on Wednesday along with Former Tourism Minister, MLA Ratan Bhowmik. From Badharghat constituency in this by-election CPI-M candidate is Bulti Biswas.

She has reportedly received massive support from the common men and Leftist’s support was seen in the recently held mass-rally which marched in the capital city Agartala.

All the political parties have called people to cast votes for their parties. The by-election for the 14-Badharghat Legislative Assembly constituency (SC) will be held on September 23.The seat had become vacant after the demise of BJP MLA Dilip Sarkar.Along with Tripura, by-polls will be held for the Hamirpur seat in Uttar Pradesh, Dantewada in Chhattisgarh and Pala in Kerala on September 23.

Total 71 polling stations will be in the Badharghat 14 constituency and on the election date i.e. 23rd September VVPAT and EVMs will be like normal elections.Preparations for the election has been started by State Election commission for the vacated seat in Badharghat.
