AGARTALA, Sep 18 (TIWN): Amtali Police will take action against rape victim’s father for not filing case or cooperating with police in his daughter’s rape case.

A minor girl was raped at Amtali allegedly by one shop-keepers Abul Mia. When the incident took place, the victim’s father was not present in the station but after returning home, he came to know about the incident.

The father didn’t allow his wife to lodge any police complaint. On Monday night police went to the victim’s home but the victim’s father further asked police why they are disturbing them ?

Today after the victim’s father came to the police station with daughter. OC, Amtali PS Subrata Chakraborty said that if anything is found suspicious in father’s role , specially for not cooperating with police, then action will be taken against him too.
