AGARTALA, October 27 (TIWN): The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) will hold protest rallies in block level on November 3 and in district level on November 11, demanding CBI enquiry in the MGNREGA scam in Bishalgarh RD Block.
Speaking to the media persons at Congress Bhawan working president of TPCC and MLA Asish Saha lashed out at the state government for wrong policies and mis-governance, stating that CPIM government has completely failed to check rise in prices of essential commodities.
He criticized the CPIM government over issues of spurious-drug, atrocities against women, corruption, malfunctioning of PDS, chit fund, deterioration of law and order, underdevelopment of tribal people and deprivation of employees during the agitation.
He criticized the tight-lipped gesture of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar over the increasing crimes and vowed to intensify party’s agitation across the state. He also urged the public to condemn the role of Chief Minister, who also holds the Home portfolio.
The 21-year misrule has resulted in the state being labeled the least developed state in the country. Corruption has mushroomed in every sphere, he claimed.
