AGARTALA, Sep 12 (TIWN): For long 5 months security guards under SIS-security in the GB hospital are not getting salaries, bound them to come in massive protest today in the hospital premise, which created chaos in the hospital for a while. It has been known that these helpless security staffs are suffering due to unpaid salaries since 5 months but today they were finally bound to speak out.The security personnel informed media that they even do not know what is the amount of their salaries and how their salaries are calculated and thus various staffs are getting various types of salaries. But for 9 months of joining as security guards irregular salaries continued to haunt those families. Telling the manager again and again, nothing is happening. Everyday they are promised to given salaries but on the next day they are not given, but the manager said there are technical problem in the HDFC transaction.

“Every time we talk to the manager and he put some excuse. What should we do ? How can we manage the budget of our household ? We work so dedicatedly but nobody is thinking for us”, said a security guard.

“Our only query is when we will get our salary and what is the amount of our salary”, said guard Sudhan Nama.

A lady guard said, “We are given moneys according to their wishes. Last time after 2-3 months few were given 3000, few less and few more, but what is our salary ?”

The workers who are subjected to work 8 hours give duty of 12 hours but the extra 4 hours they are not paid. Indeed there is no rule for salaries.

“Whenever we protest, we are told not to come in work then. What to do ? How our children can continue their studies ? Manager’s wife Kalpana Sinha behaves with us very rudely”, said a woman agitation.

Later the strike was withdrawn after being promised to get their salaries soon.
