AGARTALA, Sep 11 (TIWN): Nomination submission date has ended on Sep-4 for the by-election and so far BJP, CPI-M, Congress all have submitted their nominations. Amid rainy weather, today massive rally was organized by Congress at the Badharghat led by leader Prasanta Bhattacharjee.

From Badharghat constituency in this by-election Congress candidate is Ratan Das (SC).

Today Ratan Das along with Subal Bhowmik campaigned for by-election.

All the political parties have called people to cast votes for their parties. The by-election for the 14-Badharghat Legislative Assembly constituency (SC) will be held on September 23.The seat had become vacant after the demise of BJP MLA Dilip Sarkar.Along with Tripura, by-polls will be held for the Hamirpur seat in Uttar Pradesh, Dantewada in Chhattisgarh and Pala in Kerala on September 23.

Total 71 polling stations will be in the Badharghat 14 constituency and on the election date i.e. 23rd September VVPAT and EVMs will be like normal elections.Preparations for the election has been started by State Election commission for the vacated seat in Badharghat.
