AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Sep 8 (TIWN): In an exclusive interview with ‘Right Narrative’ journalist who visited Tripura to check the developments here took place in last one and half years, Tripura CM Biplab Deb put importance on very need of “Developmental Politics” and placed the blueprint before media about his dream for a “Model State”.

Here are the questions and the answers delivered in this Hindi-version interview, has been translated by TIWN.

Right Narrative : You just came in 2015 in Tripura and within 3 years you have changed the roadmap of Tripura and so much of developments are visible. How did you do that ?

CM: Few things happen automatically with the time. I am not the first person to do that. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is the greatest living figure of Indian politics right now has proven that without any pre-experience as MLA, how Modi ji changed Gujarat in a decade. Modi ji has given everything for Gujarat and as the first time MP became the PM. So, what I wanted to tell you that I am not the first man to this but I am highly motivated by Narendra Modi and his developmental politics. So, party sent me here on 9th may 2015 and I did my job very honestly and public showered their love. So, all are decided by time but who don’t want to change with time are called Communists.Tripura was not a land of Communist because Communists known for torturing people. This is the land of Bir Bikram Manikya and Tripura Kings were always generous. The Communists came by using some sociologists and manipulating higher education syllabus. A fashion of intellectualism was existing in Tripura.

I don’t have proof but it is said that former CM Nripen Chakraborty was associated with Naxalists and there were cases against him. He was hidden in Tripura to escape from cases in Bengal. Nripen Chakraborty was working in Janajati area and on that time Congress Govt was in power which was heavily suffered due to internal fighting from national to state. In this situation taking the opportunity, in 70’s era CFD-CPM Govt was formed which was only for 3 months and then Janata Dal Govt was formed and then Nripen Chakraborty CFD and Janata Dal everywhere Nripen Chakraborty was made as the Minister and that’s how the Communists came in power. Then after 10 years, Congress came but due to Congress’s infighting the then CM came in secret mutual of 1-year Chief Ministry in exchange of 25 years Communist regime.

The opposition was not so poor in election but everyone know how by mathematical calculation the Communists came in power. Then it was Amit Shah called Tripura’s people for the change and then the state underwent the slogan of “Cholo Paltai” by unseating the Communists. From 2014 the main movement of BJP started and it was understandable when in the Panchayat election, BJP did unexpectedly good results. In this way, the Modi-Leher worked out and boosted by support of village people specially. At the same time, Amit Shah’s “Rana-Kaushal” was ofcourse praiseworthy.

Right Narrative : There were not even 10,000 people in BJP but today BJP has its Govt. There was so much strength in the slogan of ‘Cholo Paltai’. How did you work on that ?

CM : Indeed, my name became Chalo-Paltai and wherever I went even children used to say ‘Cholo Paltai’, but it was not my contribution alone it was the hardwork of the whole team of BJP. We kept on working breathlessly and massive works underwent in membership drive.

Right Narrative : What is the economic plan for Tripura ?

CM : Tripura has lots of potentialities. The President of India announced Queen Pineapple as State Fruit, but the previous Govt never focused on such issues. Party was all in all for them. First time Pineapples are now sent for international profits. Tripura today competition with Philippines at Dubai with Pineapple. Tripura is developing waterways which will increase the profit more. Tripura’s economy is 8000 crores. There are so many products in Tripura but all needs to be explored and Govt started working on that. We are creating smoke-house for quality rubber production. Farmers’ income will be doubled surely. We have started one-window system for ease and transparency of business. There are many connectivity projects including roadway, railway and Indo-Bangla connectivity projects like Feni river bridge.

Right Narrative : What is the outlook’s difference between the previous Govt and your Govt?
CM : The previous Govt used Tripura but we love Tripura, we will die for state’s development.

CM further answered the journalist in a personal question that he and his family both are in so much in love with Tripura right now, they all are associated with the state from the core of their hearts.
