KAMALPUR, October 26, (TIWN): Preparation is all set for celebration of the NE India’s largest Maharasjatra Fair and Festival in its 118th anniversary, from 3rd November, here at Baralutma in Kamalpur Subdivision.
The four-day festivity will have 15 Govt. stalls of different departments along with almost hundred private business stalls. The Mahara Jatra Fair on 3rd November will be inaugurated by R.D. Minister, Mr. Naresh Jamatia. On the concluding day, 6th November, the Maharasjatra Festival will be inaugurated by M.P. Shankar Prasad Dutta. Each evening of all four days of festivity and celebration, cultural troops from state and abroad will perform programs of ethnic identity of Bishnupriya Manipuri community and vivid cultural traits of our state. Besides, the joy of the festival will be excelled by Gaiety Land.The Organizing Committee will also bring out a souvenir ‘Banshidhwani’ in the occasion of this festival. Prasenjit Sinha, the Secretary of the Organizing Committee informed TIWN about final preparation of this celebration.
