AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): In Bengali there is a proverb “অতি ভক্তি চোরের লক্ষণ” and Tripura University’s incumbent Vice Chancellor’s too much “Bhakti” for RSS leaders directly, roaming with BJP leaders, hoisting flag of ABVP etc generated doubt among the media persons long back as teachers, professors, chancellors are expected to play neutral role in the society and serving truthful-education to their students. Already there were various controversies against the Tripura University VC Vijaykumar Laxmikantrao Dharurkar for promoting Hindi, appointing guest lecturers as Biswendu Bhattacharjee in Journalism Dept and then crazy guest lecturer as Moti Kapoor who was arrested at the end followed by his imbalanced activities in the classroom and then attacking in Tripura Times newspaper office, but this time a local News Channel named “News Vanguard” has exposed the VC in an exclusive operation where VC is demanding 10% commission from the University’s one of the printing project. It has been shown that VC operates these transactions directly in cash, which itself is a big scam.

Earlier, the VC changed multiple registrars in the University, erupted questions. Then he appointed personal OSD and many more guest lecturers and dropped Tripura University’s position nationally with deteriorating Education quality.

VC in this secret operation is asking Surendra Shethia, the contractor of printing works of the University 10% commission from the work. This video released by “News Vanguard” named Operation-White-Collar has created turmoil in the University and now public are demanding suspension and punishment of the Vice Chancellor.
