Storm of criticism in social media after BJP MLA accused Tripura Police for ‘Being Drunk’ after night 10 pm

AGARTALA, Sep 5 (TIWN): Criticism hit social media in Tripura after one BJP MLA Ratan Chakraborty accused a section of police officials for ‘being drunk’ which they purchase from local illegal liquor shops which is not only bad for the society also local liquors damage liver in fast manner.
The issue was first raised in the Assembly after opposition raised question on the increasing numbers of licensed alcohol shops.
Reacting over the question, Chakraborty said that such local liquors are harmful to the health.
Also another MLA Dilip Das said, drinking foreign liquor is good for health, whereas countering Das, MLA Sudip Barman said that Dilip Das’s statement may send a wrong message to the society.
