RTI activist lodged police complaint after murder threats

AGARTALA, Aug 30 (TIWN): An RTI activist has lodged police complaint in Dharmanagar PS after receiving murder threats.

According to source Gopika Kanta Dutta who is an RTI activist, law advisory and also a social workers was intrigued to be murdered.

Allegation has raised against one Raju Bhattacharjee (Mintu) who is now working in Juvarajnagar under ‘Samasthi Unnoyon Adhikarak’.

On 27th August Raju Bhattacharjee had allegedly planned to kidnap Gopika Dutta from own house and to kill, but one local could hear the conversations and recorded in mobile phone.

After hearing this Gopika Dutta filed a case in Dharmanagar police station. Dutta said there was no personal enmity between them and so the reason of such actions may be under a big intrigue.

Local people have demanded strict action against Raju Bhattacharjee.
