AGARTALA, Aug 23 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has greeted nation on the occasion of Krishna Janmastami.

“My heartfelt wishes to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami.May all your prayers get answered and dreams come true in this Janmashtami”, Deb tweeted.

Along with other states, Tripura is all set to celebrate Sri Krishna’s Janmastami utsav which is going to be celebrated on August 24th.

Ahead of Dura puja this festive fervor has started in full enthusiasm.

Any Janmashtami celebration is incomplete without fun and food. Thus long rows are observed ahead of fruit, sweet shops.

Janmastami commemorates the earthly appearance of Krishna, who is described in India’s sacred writings as God himself.
