AGARTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): A rapist has been awarded death penalty in Tripura for raping a minor in 2016.

The criminal named Sanjay Tati raped a minor girl in 2018, 24^th September.

The incident took place at Kamalpur subdivision’s Maheshpur Bangaljum area in a tea garden, when she was playing with other children.

On that time, Sanjay Tati took the girl inside his home and since then the girl was going missing. After 3 days her body was found in a jungle.

Total 21 persons gave witness in this case.

With the judgement local people are happy and also has set history as recently many minor girls were raped in Tripura and demand raised for death penalty of them.
