AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): Tripura Congress will celebrate Indigenous day on 9th August in Tripura.

9th August is a day to remember and celebrate the first people of the world, or as they are more commonly known as – the Natives. However, in Tripura it was not celebrated but this year Congress is going to celebrate this programme.

Pradyot Manikya has appealed to the Congress workers to organize this programme allover Tripura.

“Perhaps for the first time the Tripura Congress will be celebrating world indigenous day . I appeal to all our indigenous brothers and sisters and also our Party workers to organise on their own a small programme in every constituency. This is a small way of preserving our identity and our culture”, appealed Pradyot Manikya said.
