AGARTALA, July 31 (TIWN): Even though Education Dept is now-a-days seen busy with various meetings, advisors are putting efforts to develop quality education which are being attended by Tripura University Vice Chancellor to Educationists, but irregular classes and lack of teachers have been continuing statewide. Without mitigating the basic gap of teachers-students ratios, meetings at the high level not at all working out to develop the quality of Education, although Tripura has more than thousand TET qualified youths roaming jobless. Same is happening with College education system. Saffron student unit ABVP itself came in massive protest recently alleging Professors’ crisis in Colleges eventhough enough numbers of qualified candidates are battling for jobs. Such situations in Tripura schools and Colleges are not new but decade-long problems and so far no development come after Govt changed in the state.Tripura School Education and also Higher Education both are suffering due to teachers crisis situations amid huge numbers of qualified youths are left jobless.

The slow-going recruitment process has hit quality education in Tripura due to acute teachers crisis whereas TET qualified youths left jobless. Around thousands of qualified job aspirants have expressed resentments about recruitment delays, which the Govt is unable to handle under unknown reasons. Tripura Govt has to focus on Teachers Recruitment as well as recruitments in other departments. Total 1141 TET qualified B.ed holders are left jobless. At the same time, having a huge numbers of qualified people, Tripura facing towards massive unemployment rate at 26.2%.

In case of College recruitments, same situations are going on. Even though State is applauded by the great achievement of Tripura University students in the academic the year 2018-19 as a total of 64 candidates from various departments (including Journalism, Commerce, Library Science, Sociology, Physics, Chemistry, Bengali, Geography, English and others) have cracked the NET/SET examinations conducted by University Grant Commission and North-East SLET Commission, but a big question mark remains on their careers as over thousands of NET/SET qualified youths left eitherunemployed or guest lecturer of Colleges for years after years. The previous CPI-M Govt had introduced guest lecturer posts in Tripura Colleges due to shortage of teachers but gradually guest lecturers became the backbone of the Colleges and professor/lecturer crisis have been hitting the Colleges quality education.

Higher Education in Tripura is suffering from disability following 25 years of a constant Left regime. Even though a new Govt BJP has taken charge, but unemployment toll has hiked too high and already many are near to be overaged. When state govt appointed thousands of guest lecturers in the past few years with the excuse of teachers crisis, in reality NET, SET Qualified youths are not being appointed in Colleges, even though in 2017's ending TPSC called candidates at last following constant pressures from various sides.

Since many years, there was no  proper recruitment in Colleges and especially since last 5 years the NET, SET qualified youths have been suffering the most. Maximum are bound to work as Guest Lecturers and after many protests also Govt remained in slumber.
