AGARTALA, July 29 (TIWN): Complaints have come that Tripura University is using mostly Hindi, totally replacing Bengali which has generated little bit resentment among Bengali lovers.
Also in programme banners, Hindi alphabets are used for words which are often not understood by students, except those who studied Sanskrit or Hindi in schools.
Tripura University is however under Central University, not under State Govt. But Bengali and Kokborok are mother-tongues of Tripura.
English and Hindi are being used in banners specially during social, cultural programmesa. Use of Bengali and Kokborok also should be used simultaneously, such demands are raising from a section of people.
