AGARTALA, July 25 (TIWN): Making women financially independent does not mean only to provide them MGNREGA works’ mandays. It is very important to stable the women on their own feet, such has been claimed by Tripura Women Commission Chairperson Barnali Goswami.

She was addressing in press conference organized on the arrival of member of National Commission for Women Ms Soso Shaiza.Shaiza is in 4 days visit here and attended meetings and discussed about crime against women.

Barnali Goswami said that it was discussed with the national member how to make women Financially independent. 

The member of National Commission for Women has claimed that Northeast states has no dowry deaths, complaints are very less and Men are very good and having positive attitudes towards women.

Shaiza said, crime against women has to be decreased, women have to be financially independent.
