AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): After massive violence took place at Belonia in a BJP Vs. BJP fights, kariyakartas of BJP came in massive protest by burning tires on road and then blocking highway.
Locals alleged, even after multiple times of alleging, no action was taken to develop the law and order situation, neither any action took against the attackers. As a result on yesterday once again massive attacks took place injuring 12.
Locals said that the MLA Arun Chandra Bhoumik is not concerned about public problems and he is busy with own benefits. Locals said, the MLA must spend from his side first and then sanction the spent amount from Govt. Few locals were also heard saying, Bhoumik is heating up his own pocket during 5 years tenure.
A massive traffic jam caused in the highway due to road-blockade, but agitators said, every time after the incident leaders come to console us but in reality no action is taken against culprits. It will not workout this time, whereas before election he promised to stay close to the people always.
The situation created embarrassing moments for the MLA as he could not reply to public problems and standing there helplessly. It continued for long and after hours the blockade was withdrawn after satisfied with promises.
At least 12 persons have been injured today at Jiratali area leaving the whole area tensed on yesterday.
Centering some unknown issues, a clash erupted between the BJP members and they beat each other with lathi and other hard items.
A road blockade was staged after the incident at Jirtali, Belonia.
