AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): Tripura High Court has ordered shutdown of 393 brick kilns in the state.

This verdict was given in favour of environment as it has become a threat to the atmosphere due to everyday pollution released by the factories.

A division bench of the high court comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Arindam Lodh hearing the pleas from Pollution Control Board has given the verdict.

The order has also restricted commercial practices of the brick kilns.
