AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Friday attending the workshop on "Arbitration and Conciliation" at Prajna Bhawan, Agartala said that Govt will focus on tourism development with extra enthusiasm as Tourism will be the sector for GDP growth.
“PM Modi has targeted GDP growth which only can reduce various economic crisis. That’s why Tripura is also focused on tourism, because tourism is the biggest sector for GDP growth”, he added.
“Transportation should be made cheaper and Govt is determine to ease the transport. Waterways between Tripura-Bangladesh will diminish the price rate. In next 10 years, infrastructure will be massively developed, because nothing has been done for developed infrastructure”, Deb said.
It can be mentioned here that Govt of Tripura announced subvention scheme 2019 -2021 to strengthen the tourism industry.The scheme namely “Paryatan Sahayak Prakalp” to promote entrepreneurship to be set up by Tripura Govt after July 1st 2019
Also in both sides of tourism spot-destined roads, massive plantation will be done.
