AGARTALA, July 5 (TIWN): ISKCON may take charge of few schools’ mid-day-meal system by costing Rs. 9 per student.

But the decision has erupted controversy as a TV channel has pointed out in each school there are 5 mid-day-meal workers. If private hands take over the charge will not the employees to lose their jobs ?

CM Biplab Deb while addressing in ISKCON organized Ratha Yatra festival on yesterday has said, egg distribution will be stopped if ISKCON takes the charge, which has raised eyebrows of the critics.

Tripura’s mid-day-meal quality is however very pathetic and huge corruption centering mid-day-meal happened in previous years undoubtedly.

Due to huge corruption in midday meal distribution, Govt has taken this decision but whether a private party can do justice or not is another question.
