NSA Act under enforcement by Tripura Govt for 3 months

AGARTALA, June 30 (TIWN): NSA Act will be under enforcement by Tripura Govt for 3 months.
This decision was taken on the basis of security issues of the state. The tenure was extended from 29th June to 30th September.
All districts have been informed about this from the Home dept.
The National Security Act of 1980 is an act of the Indian Parliament promulgated on 23 September, 1980 whose purpose is "to provide for preventive detention in certain cases and for matters connected therewith". The act extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. It Contains 18 sections.
