Agartala, Oct 20 (TIWN): National Health Mission’s (NHM) fund has to be kept in the department’s account number. Keeping official fund into personal account is a crime. If any officer keep department’s fund into personal account, strict action will be taken against the concern officer, said Tripura Chief Minister- and Chairmen of state health mission- Manik Sarkar in a meeting of NHM at secretariat, here today.
He also directed the concerned department to audit the NHM funds regularly. The department should take responsibility to send the regular audit report, fund management and the report of fund utilization to the central government, he said. Chief Minster also directed the concern authority to create an action plan to utilize the NHM’s fund properly within November 30.
All the ongoing construction for Sub Health Centre in different Gram Panchayats and Village Committees in Tripura under National Health Mission (NHM) has to be completed by March 15, 2015, he said.
The three-tier Panchayat system and autonomous district councils should play vital role to ensure the health facilities to all, asserted CM. He further directed the concerned department to form health related monitoring committee in the Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats.
Besides, Zilla Parishad, block, Municipal council and Nagar Panchayats , to review the works of National Health Mission accordingly, Sarkar advised to the Mission Director of NHM to organize review meetings once in a week.
Tripura Health Minister and vice-chairman of state health mission- Badal Chowdhury, Social Welfare and Social Education Department- Bijita Nath, MP Sankar Prasad Datta, Chief Secretary- G.K. Rao, Health secretary, Mission Director of NHM- Sandeep N. Mahatme and other officials attended the meeting.
