Sonamura, Oct 18 (TIWN):With an objective to build a “Swachh Tripura” under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan (NBA), cleanliness drive is picking up momentum all across the Sonamura Sub-Division. The Sonamura Sub-Divisional Administration has been spearheading the cleanliness drive, with several programmes being organized to ensure building awareness and voluntary participation of the people in ensuring a clean, hygienic environment all around.

As part of this Swachh Tripura campaign, a cleanliness drive was organized today in the Matinagar Gram Panchayat of Boxanagar R D Block, involving the local public representatives and villagers, officials of Matinagar Gram Panchayat and Matinagar Tehsil, students of Matinagar H S School, local Anganwadi workers and health workers, and medical and paramedical staff of Matinagar Primary Health Centre. The cleanliness drive was headed by Subhasis Das, SDM Sonamura. During the cleanliness drive, the bazaar area, school area, and the complex of Matinagar Primary Health Centre were cleared off accumulated garbage and dust. It may be mentioned that the SDM Sonamura has already issued instruction to all the government offices in the Sub-Division to carry on regular cleanliness drives so as to create a clean, congenial and comfortable work atmosphere.
