AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): Family and Welfare Dept Principal Secretary Samarjit Bhowmik was relieved from the dept and appointed SC Welfare Dept replacing ML Dey.

IAS Debasish Basu will hold the charge of Family and Welfare Dept replacing Samarjit Bhowmik.

Debasish Basu will be holding also his previous position Food & Civil Service, Consumers Affair and Education (Youth Affairs & Sports) along with Family & Welfare Dept.

Tripura Health Dept is under Chief Minister Biplab Deb since cabinet had dropped its previous Health Minister Sudip Barman.
