Agartala, May 31 (TIWN) The Gita provides message of Karmayogo and it focuses on selfless service. India has to developed work culture based on the Gita and Upanishada which contain human values said Prof. V. L. Dharurkar while speaking in Gurukul Lecture Series in the P. G. Gents Hostel, TU. In the Gents Hostel special lecture was arranged on "Gita and Life."
While delivering the lecture Prof. Shrivastav, Ex. Vice-Chancellor of Allahabad University pointed out that the Gita is the world's most popular text. He further stated that Warren Hastings, Governor General of Bengal first promoted the significance of Gita in Modern India. Prof. Shrivastav illustrated no. of Sanskrit quotations in Gita and opined that Gita has practical utilitarian ideas which can make human life happier. He described Lord Krishna a Purna Purusha and he was able to change the confused state of mind of Arjuna in the right direction and boosted in the moral victory in the battle of Mahabharata. A large number of students have attended the program and it was concluded with the national anthem.
