AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 2 (TIWN): Beginning with various parts of India including South India, where the Southwest Monsoon is eagerly awaited, a Cyclonic Circulation which was over Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas now lies over Telangana.
In Northeast India, south-southwest moist winds have strengthened and have covered most parts of the northeastern states. A Cyclonic Circulation is also over the central parts of Assam and an east-west trough is extending from Punjab up to Arunachal Pradesh. Thus, rainfall activity would enhance with few heavy spells in South Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
The temperature remained 28 degree at Agartala today.
A trough from this system is extending up to Tamil Nadu across Andhra Pradesh. The Cyclonic Circulation has now come closer to the coastal stations of Andhra Pradesh. Places like Anantapur, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Salem would witness good rains.
Rain and thundershowers cannot be ruled out in parts of Andhra Pradesh coast, Kerala and South Tamil Nadu, wherein Chennai would witness hot and humid weather conditions.
