Amid Statewide Violence, new clash starts between BJP-IPFT in Tripura, IPFT drops in 4th Position in LS Election

AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): Massive violence has been terrifying public, BJP-IPFT’s clashes have taken a new turn. In Mungiakami, it is now clear that it was an internal clash between BJP and its partner IPFT which erupted yesterday and two BJP leaders were attacked. IPFT however ranked 4th in Lok Sabha Election. Sources said that a section of IPFT is trying to create a communal debate via social media, even though IPFT leaders did not deliver any statement regarding the tensions and disruptions going on. Earlier also IPFT came in protest various times with BJP but at the ultimate time of Election IPFT stood with BJP. After election IPFT held a party meeting and IPFT Ministers as well as the party president NC Debbarma had to answer his people the reason behind this massive fall.

IPFT ranked 4th in Lok Sabha Election and there was a huge switch over of Tiprasa votebanks with Congress under leadership of Pradyot Manikya, the party president of Congress as well as the Royal family’s head. On the other side, post poll violence has hit the state.Till now at least three killed, more than two hundred people injured in post poll violence in Tripura. This time, at Khayerpur one 20 years old boy Suman Das was killed in a brutal mob-violence on Sunday evening. 

The deceased family members and his friends said, inspite of being BJP supporter, his own party friends have killed him.  Already four died in BJP’s internal clash. 

Three of the deceased belong to the ruling party and killed in internal clash.

Across Tripura massive tensions are going on. Markets are burnt, people are being attacked from home.

The Chief Minister however has assured there will be a review in the property damage done in last 5 days, accepting his party workers using BJP’s name were too actively involved in violence. Public also have demanded a clear report from the police regarding the arrests of the miscreants who were involved in post poll violence.
