I am appealing that other former presidents and senior leaders do the same . I am donating my bit i suggest that you also come forward and do yours . All donations to be made to the Tripua Pradesh Congress Account by cheque”.

Congress is also preparing for legal move to manage Govt compensation for the victims.

Standing with own party activists with all efforts has been considered as a “masterstroke” by the young Congress President.

Congress has started preparation to move in Supreme Court demanding compensation for each victim, urging to contact with Congress leaders. Congress State President Pradyot Manikya said, in 1993 Advocate Pijush Biswas also filed a similar case on behalf of victims in the High Court and it's judgement has come. Now, the Govt is bound to compensate the victims.

On Saturday addressing media at the Congress Bhawan, Congress State President said, “During and after the Election, it is the duty of the Election Commission and State Govt to ensure the safety of the people and maintain the law and order, but Election Commission has miserably failed to control the law and order as well as State Govt too. Thus, it’s our request that all the victims should file FIRs and submit to us”.

Tripura post poll violence has hit the peace since the result of Lok Sabha Election was declared on Thursday. The GB hospital’s space is turning smaller because of larger section of people are admitted there after beaten by ruling party cadres, who were victimized in post poll violence.
