AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 21 (TIWN): Report said that at least 4 IPFT MLAs are preparing to join BJP after election result. However, it will happen if the exit poll proven true which claimed a ‘massive’ victory for the BJP. The internal clash between IPFT had started long back and Chief Minister Biplab Deb already announced to conduct a ‘surgical strike’ in his own Govt. The Chief Minister also announced, he will make sure the intriguers can not stay in Tripura, even though as a Chief Minister he can not say this. Out of 8 MLAs, 4 MLAs are ready to quit IPFT and to join BJP, but unless 6 MLAs quit together then MLA designation can be suspended. On the other side, Congress is determine to make a Govt in Tripura regardless who forms a Govt at Delhi and if necessary, Congress may align with other parties to form a Govt, said source. In this situation all the political parties are eying for 23rd May’s results. The 23rd May will be a crucial day not only for India’s political history but significant for Tripura as well as.

In a social media post, Prdayot Manikya has said, “To all our Congress men and women , results are out on the 23rd so don't worry and relax .We have fought a great election and do'nt worry about Exit Polls . The mood in Tripura cannot be captured by what is happening in Delhi . On the 23rd Exit Polls will Exit and actual results will be out”.

In Tripura, the exit poll has predicted both seats for the BJP, whereas the sentiment of Tripura is unmatched except West Tripura where Pratima Bhowmik;s winning has major chance due to her sponsoring for election rigging and fake vote casting.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said, “I don’t trust Exit Poll gossip. The game plan is to manipulate or replace thousands of EVMs through this gossip. I appeal to all Opposition parties to be united, strong and bold. We will fight this battle together”.

Also the BJP man Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu has mocked at the exit polls, saying they were not exact polls. “Exit polls do not mean exact polls. We have to understand that. Since 1999, most of the exit polls have gone wrong,” the Vice-President pointed out.

Exit polls have projected a comfortable majority for Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led national coalition NDA despite attempts by opposition parties to unite in crucial states such as Uttar Pradesh.
