NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, May 13 (TIWN): Amidst massive Post poll violence by BJP MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik has hit the state, a Cabinet Minister of BJP Govt has offered help to the victims of an opposition party. Centering the West Tripura constituency Election where BJP has elected its MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik, law and order has went at its worst led the Election Commission to remove Additional DGP Rajiv Singh from Law and Order Dept earlier. Election Commission observing massive rigging also announced 168 booths’ re-polling for the West Tripura, whereas Congress and CPI-M have filed petitions in the Supreme Court for total re-polling. Special Observer Vinod Zutshi had to reside on 23rd April as well as on yesterday to make sure peaceful election. On yesterday during re-polling when BJP could not capture booths like the main poll day on 11th April, the MP candidate called BSF and other security forces including Election Commission officials as party workers of opposition.

The voting rate downed at 73% but after poll was ended BJP started door to door violent attacks in dark-hours and many senior citizens were  also injured in such clash. 

In such an incident, one CPI-M polling agent Suresh Debbarma's 70 years old father admitted in GB hospital after beaten allegedly by BJP on yesterday night. He is right now at Trauma Centre. 

On that time, Health Minister Sudip Barman also visited the hospital with Govt officials for a departmental inquiry. CPI-M leaders complained the issue to the Health Minister. Sudip Barman immediately asked the senior Doctors to take care of the patient and to make all expenses free for him.

CPI-M leader Radhacharan Debbarma has blasted BJP while addressing media at GB hospital that across India re-poll booths are not even 500 whereas in Tripura alone 168 booths have undergone re-poll, Still the BJP doesn’t have any shame.

There are more incidents of violence through out the state after the poll.

One senior citizen was beaten severely in Tripura after he became CPI-M polling agent on 12th May Re-Poll. The incident took place at Udaipur subdivision after one Sadhan Chandra engaged as the polling agent of 32 and 33 no. booth at Matabari constituency.At around 10 pm, miscreants attacked his home and beaten Sadhan Chandra heavily. He was hospitalized with heavy injuries.

Congress West Tripura MP candidate Subal Bhowmik on Sunday has met political violence victims who were injured by BJP hooligans.

He also visited Sonamura block Congress President Babulal Bhowmik’s home. His house was attacked, vandalized on yesterday night.

Various Congress, CPI-M families were attacked on yesterday night across Bishalgarh, Jirania, Udaipur like places.
