Senior Citizen beaten in Tripura for becoming CPI-M Polling agent, hospitalized

AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 13 (TIWN): One senior citizen was beaten severely in Tripura after he became CPI-M polling agent on 12th May Re-Poll.
The incident took place at Udaipur subdivision after one Sadhan Chandra engaged as the polling agent of 32 and 33 no. booth at Matabari constituency.
At around 10 pm, miscreants attacked his home and beaten Sadhan Chandra heavily.
He was hospitalized with heavy injuries. Police have not taken any action even after complaint was lodged.
