AGARTALA, October 16 (TIWN): “The seventeen crore multi scam of Bishalgarh R.D. Block will reach up to 50 crores if proper audit should be done in all the 52 gram panchyats”, said working president of Trinamool Congress Nitai Choudhury.

Speaking to TIWN Mr. Choudhury informed that, they are going to gherao the Bishalgarh Police Station tomorrow demanding immediate arrest of the accused persons related to the multicrore scam including the scamster Bimal Chakraborty who was found absconding till now.

The police are conducting fake raids in the name of investigation to cover up the case. Due to the involvement of big heads of the CPIM party directly or indirectly in the multicrore scam of Bishalgarh R.D. Block the police are unable to perform their duty as per the law, he mentioned.  

He further said that, now the court has applied Prevention of Corruption Act (PC Act), 1988 on Bishalgarh-scam. Till now why the police are unable to arrest any of the accused persons he asked?

Moreover, the police had applied to the court for a search warrant on 11/10/2014, but the court refused to give any search warrant, then how the police can conduct raids in the houses of persons who are involved in the multi crore scam of  Bishalgarh R.D. Block?

If the police do not arrest any of the accused persons we will file a PIL in the high court on October 27, he added.

He also alleged that, during the time of the raid some documents related to the multi crore  scam of MGNREGA of Bishalgarh RD Block was seized by the police but due to high level political influence the  police are trying to hide all the evidences.
