AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 12 (TIWN): BJP MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik has crossed all limits and control in tongue while addressing media at Udaipur subdivisions even after her criminal character exposed nationally. However, she challenged that all voters are voting for Modi and as asked media not to worry for BJP’s winning. She blasted Police, TSR, BSF as CPI-M and Congress’s agents and said they worked for opposition under the instruction of Election Commission. The issue was raised, after BJP’s picnic set up in few houses at Kakrabon (Biplab Deb’s home areas) were allegedly vandalized. BJP activists as well as Pratima Bhowmik said that BSF jawans entered houses and beaten them. She gave a confident smile that all votes are going for BJP as public are voting in lotus. She also said, voting percentage was downed as people who reside outside Tripura have left. Netizens however have trolled Pratima Bhowmik asking how 25% voters can stay outside the state ?

Voting percentage was dropped a little at 72.35% in West Tripura Re-Poll whereas the percentage may increase more. West District-74 %, Sepahijala District-68%, Gomati District-73%, South Tripura District-74.42%. In few places rigging attempt was alleged, with few untoward incidents led police complaints also by opposition. But voters prevention was reported in many places and it’s visible with down voting rate. The Re-Poll started in West Tripura constituency’s 168 polling booths on Sunday morning 7 am. Polling and continued till 5 pm. The assembly segments in Tripura West include Simna (ST), Mohanpur, Bamutia (SC), Barjala (SC), Khayerpur, Ramnagar, Town Bordowali, Majlishpur, Mandai Bazar, Takarjala (ST), Pratapgarh (SC), Badharghat (SC), Kamalasagar, Bishalgarh, Golghati, Charilam, Boxanagar, Nalchar, Sonamura, Dhanpur, Bagma (ST), Radhakishorepur, Matabari, Kakraban-Salgarah (SC), Rajnagar (SC) and Belonia. Since early morning rows of voters were observed before polling stations. The re-election was followed by massive rigging in West Tripura poll on April 11.

Pratima Bhowmik has desperately blamed the Central forces accusing them for terrorizing voters.

However, Bhowmik looked happy as rigged 400 booths left without re-polling.

Pratima Bhowmik blamed that due to central force people didn’t come out of houses for voting. Such logic was earlier given by another BJP MLA Ram Prasad Paul, whereas Central Forces always encourage people and discourage criminals.

CPI-M on Sunday after the re-poll for West Tripura constituency completed, said that the poll was not 100% peaceful as many voters could not come out for votes.

On being asked by media whether CPI-M will demand re-poll in the crucial booths which were rigged today, Gautam Das that CPI-M will not demand but the party will wait for the Supreme Court hearing about re-poll.

Congress has condemned various attacks upon Congress candidates throughout Tripura during poll houses, calling the BJP as “shameless”.
