AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): 168 Booths’ re-poll i.e. 10% booths re-poll has darkened Tripura democratic and political history under Chief Minister Biplab Deb. Tripura which was known for 90% voting rates now received a special status of “Vote Rigging State” and all happened as Biplab Deb’s chief advisor is none other than most controversial political leader of state Tripura, BJP MP candidate cum Party State General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik. Re-poll in 168 booths have been started in Tripura on Sunday. From sharp 7 am the poll started. Voters were standing in rows since early morning 5 am before many polling stations. The repoll in 168 constituencies were conducted after Election Commission of India (ECI) spotted massive poll manipulation instances along with rigging on 11th April’s West Tripura Poll. Still allegations of vote rigging came in the morning but right now in maximum booths election is still proceeding amid tight security.

Opposition CPI-M and Congress asked voters to come out of houses and vote fearlessly.
