AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): Reacting over the ongoing news against Tripura Congress President Pradyot Manikya’s family, who is also the Royal Scion, grandson of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya has slammed the BJP backed media and social media Chowkidars for continuing personal attacks on his family and palace since few days.
The criticism is going on regarding a pending bill of the Ujjayanta Palace, whereas the bill according to rule, the State Govt is to pay.
Pradyot Manikya has also mentioned, even though BJP at the beginning claimed that CPI-M Govt insulted Royal Family and started to propagate BJP’s positive attitude for Royal family to prove the better than CPI-M, but now what BJP is doing has crossed the CPI-M also. He said, “Atleast such news never came in newspapers under the previous Govt”.
Hitting BJP National Secretary Sunil Deodhar further for attacking his sister, Congress MP candidate Pragya Dev Barman with her married life at “Italy”, Pradyot Manikya asked BJP not to destroy the political culture of Tripura.
“Tripura’s political culture is deteriorating day by day. At centre also in which year what happened it’s all concern of BJP, whereas what is happening in 2019, nobody talks regarding those issues”, said Pradyot Manikya.
“My mother has written a letter to the Chief Minister and also I have asked him to prevent BJP from doing all these. Tripura has unemployment issues, he must talk about those”, said Pradyot Manikya warning the BJP paid media to stop immediately harassing the Royal family via personal attacking news.
Pradyot Manikya also mentioned, Rajmata Bibhu Devi is senior citizen and 75 years old. In this age, she does not deserve such personal attacks, who is the daughter-in-law of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur.
