AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): Gomati District DM T K Debnath has taken a bold move to fix the local businessmen of Tripura Sundari temple at Matabari.
Recently a devotee was heavily beaten by shop-keepers of Matabari and now a days they have also started disturbing devotees in attempt convince them to enter in their shops. Such kinds of marketing are day by day killing environment of Matabari.
Three shops have been banned at Matabari which are very old and well-known.
Recently to stretching a devotee to enter into their shops his shirt was tore by the shop-keepers. He complained to DM Gomati and thus the officer has taken this step.
Tripura Sundari Temple is a Hindu temple of Goddess Tripura Sundari, better known locally as Devi Tripureshwari. The temple is situated in the ancient city of Udaipur, 55 km away from Agartala. This is the most popular tourist spot in Tripura.
