AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN): Reacting against the ongoing suffocation, pressures, heat and fear psychosis by Chief Minister Biplab Deb after his divorce case news turned viral in social media led police to start massive illegal arrests of people, Congress on Friday evening amid stormy and rainy weather have hit the West Agartala PS, gheraoed the police station, placed deputation to the West PS OC-Subrata Chakraborty. Congress raised slogan of “Step Down Biplab Deb”. The gherao was followed by a big protest rally in the capital city, a very much similar to the movement raised before few months when innocent youths were shot in police’s firing at Madhav Bari. Like protest of that time back in January 2019, Congress has today again raised Go Back, Step Down slogans for the Chief Minister of the state.Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has ordered massive arrests of people, opposition leaders, media persons for “sharing”, “commenting”, “liking” a news broadcasted against him.

The news centered regarding CM and his wife’s a mutual divorce case at a court at Delhi.

Instead of filing case against state and national media for filing news (if fake), Chief Minister ordered the arrest of common men, journalists and opposition leaders for sharing, commenting on it.
