AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN): Under Election Commission’s order SDM Belonia Ghuncha Sanobar, also the ARO, has caused suspension of huge numbers of Govt employees in Tripura. The suspended persons includes presiding officers, videographers polling officers. In a letter with the reference number F(19)25-CEO/CONDT/2019/Vol-1/144414-17 Dt 30th April 2019. The name of the accused officials are : Aminjoy Reang, Ratanjit Dey, Nitai Debnath, Gaourab Saha, Gopal Chandra Das, Samaresh Chakraborty, Rajendra Tripura, Laxmi Charan Nama, Kartik Bhwomik, Dulal Chandra Aich, Haripada Debnath, Ratanjit Dey, Rajendra Dutta, Ahindra Das, Nitai Debnath, Narendra Reang, Atanu Choudhury, Sourabh Dey, Prakesh Das, Debojyoti Chattergy, Pranab Malvia, Sourabh Dey, Bhagyamoni Murasingh, Shyamal Murasing, Anupam Banik, Satyacharan Tripura, Ratnajit Dey, Sambhunath Choudhury, Sankar Majumder, Sukumar Shil, Rabindra Reang, Samir Das, Simaol Chandra Das, Anukul Dauuta (for crewing webcasting).

The decision came along with removal of RO-West Sandep Mahatme from all types of election duties, appointing East Tripura RO Vikash Singh in the post.

On the other side, BJP leaders including Chief Minister Biplab Deb has started slamming the CEO.

One of the Ministers Ratanlal Nath said, “CEO is the main hero of political conspiracy, working for CPI-M and Congress”.

Chief Minister Biplab Deb also said that CEO never listened to BJP’s pleas, whereas in reality 11th April’s poll rigging launched by BJP MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik had shocked the whole country.

Oppositions have demanded a fresh re-poll in West Tripura.
