AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister, Communist leader Manik Sarkar said that in the 17th Lok Sabha election the whole country is sounding with same slogan that BJP has to be defeated in this election.

“The Govt led by BJP has ruined the economy and only playing with communal issues. Only the corporates are getting benefits of BJP’s rule”, said Manik Sarkar.

“The people who supported BJP earlier, a great section of people have separated from BJP already”, Sarkar said.

“BJP is afraid and thus trying to stay in the power with various issues related against unity of people, based on communalism. However, people are fighting against such policies of BJP”, he added.

“BJP’s attack has hit Supreme Court and various independent institutions. They are trying to destroy the foundation of constitution by weakening secularism, democracy”, said Manik Sarkar.
