AGARTALA, April 25 (TIWN): CPI-M MP Jitendra Chaudhury has decided to take legal action against local newspaper “Sandyan Patrika” Editor Subal Dey.

The newspaper had published a fake news saying MP Jitendra Chaudhury held scams with help of Dhalai District DM Vikash Singh.

The news claimed that both the persons embezzled MP funds with other expenditure.

In protest MP Jitendra Chaudhury said that an MP is allowed to spend 10% of the fund beyond own constituency under law, saying his all expenditure for developmental works also recorded.

Jitendra Chaudhury said, the newspaper Editor intentionally wrote that news in the election time to malign his image.

However, MP Jitendra Chaudhury said if the newspaper does not publish his (MP Jiten’s) condemnation letter, then he will file case against the newspaper editor.
