AGARTALA, April 21 (TIWN): Electoral Officers who were arrested on yesterday has been released immediately, which has erupted huge resentment among public.

On Friday, CEO Sriram Taranikanti holding a press meet said that total 6 persons were arrested in Belonia including 5 presiding officers. The arrest was done after getting evidences from CCTV footage. But release of the presiding officers has erupted huge resentment among the public. On the other side, various BJP supporters were arrested on yesterday for their major involvement in poll rigging. The arrest was done followed by 11th April’s poll-rigging where lakhs of voters could not cast their votes.
