AGARTALA, April 17 (TIWN): Shocked by Election Commission of India’s decision of poll-deferring for the East Tripura constituency from 18th April to 23rd April, Tripura BJP has decided to visit the Election Commission of India’s office at Delhi.
In a press conference, BJP spokesperson Ashok Sinha has said this. Sinha said, BJP will ask whether it can add more funds for the East Tripura campaigning as it ended its account on yesterday. However, jolted ruling BJP blaming CPI-M for Election Commission’s decision of poll deferring, said, ‘Due to CPI-M’s violence ECI had to take this decision’. BJP also expressed surprise on the decision of ECI at the last moment when election campaigning deadline was crossed. Congress, CPI-M have welcomed the decision of ECI as now Tripura’s deferred poll will be under strict security blanket.Add your Comment
