AGARTALA, April 5 (TIWN): Tripura Congress has filed a complaint to the State Election Commission demanding action against Chief Minister Biplab Deb for his unconstitutional speech.
In a legal complaint to CEO Sriram Taranikanti, Vice President of Congress Tapas Dey said, “Biplab Deb who is the CM and also ruling Party President has made false statement against Congress State President Pradyot Manikya to create communal hatred aimed to create division on cast, religious basis, was also published in Print and Electronic media”.
“Biplab Deb is using these words to create difference between groups and community. Place of birth, language and those assertions are prejudicial to national integration and punishable under Section 153A and 153B of the IPC”, Congress told CEO.
Congress also told the CEO that during his speech, Biplab Deb threatening the people if BJP does not come in power then people of Tripura will be deprived.
The Congress also mentioned about day to day attacks are being taken place on Congress leaders and activists.
