AGARTALA, April 5 (TIWN): Crime rates in Tripura are alarming along with law and order’s deteriorating situation.

When BJP leaders, Chief Minister Biplab Deb day-night propagating about ‘Crime Free Tripura’, ‘Decrease in Crime against Women’, a CPI(ML) leader with State Government data has revealed that in Tripura per month 24 women are raped, 12 persons are murdered and 134 persons commit suicides.

“When beti-bachao, beti-padhao slogans are going on, in Rajastan BJP leaders themselves are promoting child-marriage. Today in my state, last 6 month’s record says each month 24 rapes are reported”, said the CPI(ML) leader.

“From Parliament to roads all common men are now on road to protest against Modi Govt’s misruling. Women area not equal. They have no democratic rights. We urge people to vote for Left candidates to strengthen the democracy”, the CPI(ML) leader said.
