KAMALPUR, Oct 12 (TIWN): The negligence and indifference of the Officials of TSECL and their unholy nexus with the contractors are a very common feature of the corporation here. And once again a minor girl got electrified while doing domestic works and seriously shifted to BSM Hospital, Kamalpur today around 11.30 am.

According to the family members, daughter of late Santu Debnath,  Shyamali Debnath (12) of remote and Indo-Bangla border adjacent  Baraitali under Kamalpur P.S. got electrified while she was doing domestic works. In a short while, her elder sister’s husband Rakesh got the main switch shut down and she got relieved. Then she was shifted to BSM Hospital where the treatement is on.

Now, obviously the TSECL would treat it as a matter of fault in the internal electrification.

But, the BSF and other localites of the Border often claim that just because of faulty transmitting line and extreme negligence in the matter of quality, they suffer heavy loss of property every now and then. Almost a year back, an infant somehow got into an unguarded transmitter and got injured seriously. The implementing officer tried to leave it unguarded and gobble the money in an unholy nexus with the contractor. However, to mitigate the issue and to safeguard his job, the concerned engineer donated 1,00,000 rupees in cash and bore the medical expenses of the injured boy. Interestingly, the TSECL authority awarded that engineer with promotion to the post of General Manager. Who cares for the lives of common people !           .
