AGARTALA, April 2 (TIWN): BJP MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik while addressing at Bamutia breaking Model-Code-of-Conduct said that opposition parties were happy after Wing Commander Abhinandan was arrested in Pakistan.

She said, oppositions said it was a good lesson received by Modi and nobody could imagine Abhinandan will be brought back.

“But the opposition who criticized Modi for his international tours, in reality Modi made various friends across the globe through his tours and thus countries like Russia, US warned Pakistan to release Abhinandan at the earliest and Modi asked Pakistan within 48 hours to release Abhinandan or Pakistanis will be killed one by one”, Bhowmik told the gathering.

Abhinandan Varthaman is a wing-commander in the Indian Air Force. In the 2019 India-Pakistan standoff, he was held for 60 hours under captivity in Pakistan after his aircraft was shot down in an aerial dogfight.
