AGARTALA, March 30 (TIWN): Left parties have kicked off massive rally on Saturday protesting against the ongoing attacks on opposition leaders, activists centering the upcoming Lok Sabha Election.
Huge number of party activists joined the protest march from Melarmath CPI-M Party office and walked across the capital city.
Under BJP MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik and Chief Minister Biplab Deb organized attacks upon the opposition leaders is going on in Tripura amid model-code-of-conduct.
CPI-M MP Sankar Prasad Dutta faced the highest attack. In oneday he was attacked 3 times while holding political programmes.
Various videos of attacks on opposition are still viral in social media whereas Election Commission has not taken any proper initiative yet to curb such violence.
At the same time other candidates from CPI-M, Congress are facing the same attacks.
Voicing against the ongoing attacks upon opposition, CPI-M held the massive protest rally with “Inquilab Zindabad” slogans.
