Agartala, October 11(TIWN):Cyclone” Hudhud”'s wrath may not have much affect in Tripura. However, medium rainfall will continue for next 48 hrs, informed by Meteorological Department.

While, national weather service issued high alarm that the severe cyclonic storm 'Hudhud' turned "very severe .in Odisha and Vishakapattanam coast with a speed of 150-200km per hour. On the other hand Unlike Phailin, which had hit the Odisha coast last year on October 13 and also brought major climatic aberration following heavy rainfall in Bihar and Jharkhand, cyclone Hudhud is unlikely to have any major impact in Bihar and Jharkhand.

On the other hand the deep depression in north Andaman Sea and its neighbourhood intensified into a cyclonic storm on Wednesday and is likely to cross Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coast on October 12. "The system would cross north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining Odisha coast between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur by noon on 12th October," the IMD said. Under its impact, the region is likely to experience rain or thundershower at one or two places over Odisha during the next 24 hours, it said.

In Tripura, the impact though not going to be severe but caused frequent land in next 48hrs in different parts of the State. The cyclonic storm may hit the State tomorrow- as guessed by the Met Office Sources.
