Crisis in Petrol,LPG, Diesel; Melarmath making the best out of it?

AGARTALA,October 12 (TIWN): Amidst acute crisis in Petrol, LPG and Diesel in Tripura, the main power centre of State Govt i.e. Melarmath has been making the best use of earning huge ' contribution towards ' Donations for Socialism' from black marketeers. Now it is almost a week that Tripura is facing acute shortage of Petrol and LPG crisis is now a regular affair, thanks to the total inefficiency of the State Govt. Indeed, Petrol Pumps are now displaying ' No Petrol' board but even within stones through distance from these petrol pumps, petrol is available. But for that one need to pay Rs 150/- or even Rs 200/- per litre. Shamefully State Govt is doing nothing except making statements from the 'Air Conditioned Rooms' of Civil Secretariat. No one seems to be bothered by the sufferings of the common masses.

Also an inept official is heading the Dept of Food & Civil Supplies (handpicked by his masters). Even when he was earlier DM of South Tripura,  many allegations of inefficieny can be heard even today.

Actually continuous rule of a single party over more than two decades has changed the very outset of this govt as well its leaders. To add to this, the opposition parties in Tripura are too weak to do any justice as effective opposition. Day by day they are loosing their holds. But the sufferings of the people going mostly unheard. Often the Left organs in Tripura come to the streets protesting against any kind of 'Attack against Democracy' in West Bengal in TMC regime. But in Tripura? What we are now witnessing is simply 'Anarchism' at its best.

CPI(M)’s  drama has no endings – DYFI Secretary Amal Chakraborty conducts processions against Israel and Palestine but his brother BDO Bimal Chakraborty loots MGNREGA funds of 17 Crores. The so-called 'White Icon of CPI(M)' Chief Minister Manik Sarkar seems to reside in the Mars Planet whenever the state faces any crisis like petrol, LPG and other basic amenities,  as well as barbarism against womanhood. Does his silence is an indication that the top heads of this ' Pragateeshil' Govt have moral(?) support to such anarchism?

The current BJP Led NDA Govt has decided that an LPG consumer can avail all subsidized cylinders ( 12 in a year) even in a single month if he/she needs. But in Tripura hardly a few consumers got 6 or 7  subsidized LPG cyllinders last year. But any one can buy LPG from black market but for that a customer needs to pay only (?) Rs 1200/- to Rs 1500/- per cylinder. A Govt employee , who is also a hardcore member of CPI(M) TGEA H B ROAD, probably said the very truth though it .at sound really harsh," We, the common people are born to suffer in Tripura. Every month we have to pay ' Monthly Subscription' in due date. We are to face crisis of basic amenities. We are the ones who will buy LPG or Petrol from black markets. And our leaders won't say any word. Because they get every bribe without being asked. The leaders don't need to go for ' Blue Book Verification' for LPG nor did they have to stand in long queues in front of Petrol Pumps for fuel for their 'luxurious cars'.

And the Opposition! Is there any opposition? Every movement of the opposition is being planned in closed door meetings between top leaders of the ruling and opposition inside the ' Confidential Rooms' of Melarmath. Everything is got up. Infact, the so-called opposition, is being purely controlled by CPI(M). In return for their unquestionable loyalty towards the ruling, a section of opposition leaders get their 'Commission' regularly. Really the oppositions in Tripura are practically the ' Commissioned Agents' of the CPI(M). You please don't reveal my identity. Otherwise, I must be transferred in some interior parts of the state", TGEA member added.

Of course, state govt has started to play  its ' Old Music' blaming the Centre for crisis in Petrol and LPG:

1)Why has the govt not taken any step against the distributors of LPG or Petrol Pump owners for not sending drafts earlier as is usually done?

2) Where are the Enforcement Wings of the state?

3) How , in such an acute crisis, Petrol and LPG are available in black markets?

4) Has the state govt or ruling any vested interest to fulfill in time of utter crisis?

Speaking to TIWN over phone a top level Govt official( on condition of anonymity) said," Why will state govt take any action against this fabricated crisis? Who does not know that LPG distributors and Petrol Pump owners are the major fund managers of the CPI(M) party and to a certain extent the opposition parties too. All the top level politicians and high level govt officials don't have to suffer for Petrol, LPG even for two hours. Why will the leaders disturb their ' Precious' fund arrangers? People of the state seem to be happy with this present anarchism and thus it is obvious that they will continue to suffer. It is unfortunate that the state does not have an efficient opposition party to highlight these issues. The opposition too is happy with their ' Monthly Honourium' that they are getting from Melarmath leaders without any hitch."
