PALATANA/UDAIPUR, October 11 (TIWN):Much expected Trial Run in OTPCs Unit-II (363.3MW) ahead of Commercial Run has been postponed for at least three days as BHELs experts are yet to reach Palatana. Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Palatana power plant to inaugurate the Commercial Generation (COG) likely to be held in the third week of November , police has started its usual formal procedures. A top level OTPC engineer told TIWN on Saturday afternoon," All the stafffs working inside OTPC project site are asked to submit their respective documents for verification. This is a formal procedure ahead of any VVIP visit. In 2013 when the President of India Pranab Mukherjee visited Palatana, same procedure was followed. All staffs will be issued a Special Pass for entry and re-entry on that very date when Narendra Modi will visit the plant."
Due to 3 day delay, the scheduled completion of the trial run won't be affected, said a top level OTPC official on Saturday afternoon. The official told TIWN , " BHEL experts have not arrived but it is likely that they will within Tuesday certainly. If so the Trial Run will start from Tuesday evening. However, other activities are going on. Gas Booster Compressors are now active as well as other equipments. Gas Supply to the Unit-II is on the expected line."
